Cairo 1 Day Tour city break to see the pyramids and the Museum
Pick up from the port by Representative .After your arrival in Cairo, you will be welcomed by our tour guide. The first stop will be at the pyramids of Giza (Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinos), which are considered to be the oldest and most famous buildings of mankind.
They were erected around 2620 to 2500 B.C., in the 4th dynasty, on the western edge of the Nile valley and are the only remaining of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The great buildings are protected by the Great Sphinx.
This is by far the most famous and largest sphinx and consists of a lying lion body with a mesh head. The Sphinx was also built in the 4th Dynasty. After lunch, which is included in the price, the trip goes to the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, the world’s largest museum of ancient Egyptian art from different eras. It is located in downtown Cairo, on Tahrir Square and was built in 1900 in the neoclassical style.
Here you can admire treasures of immeasurable value, such as the jewels and objects from the tomb of the Pharaoh Tutankhamen, who died young. Chariots, gold coffins and the legendary golden death mask of the pharaoh are some of the most important objects of this past civilization.
The day is concluded with a walk through the lively bazaar Khan El Khalili. This is located west of the Saiyidina-el-Husain Mosque and was founded in the 14th century on a former Mamluk cemetery as a trading post.
Afterward, the return journey to Port Said.
Travelicious Review
with constant panoramic views of Cairo and the pyramids. The Egyptian tea at a Bedouin camp was an unexpected surprise! Everyone was very friendly, engaging and easy-going. Thanks the taking so many photos and videos! The booking process was also friendly and responsive to every request. I have used Cairo Private Tours online before in other parts of the world, and will be doing so again in the future. Great work!
